Former inmates have reported being able to get out fifty percent early, so it is really worth it to be on your best behavior to get this time off. Passing the Time One of the most challenging parts of serving time is boredom, and figuring out what to do while you are locked up. Spokane County provides facilities to help the inmates pass their time. These include TV, basketball, chess and other games and books. The jail also has regular church services, which former inmates have described as being very positive and helpful. Food Spokane County serves inmates three meals per day. The food is not rated very highly, and the portions are reportedly small. Breakfast and lunch are the same everyday, with dinner varying from day to day. Inmates can order extra snacks off commissary if they have money available in their jail account.
