Spokane County Jail

Good Behavior

Interview with Cesar and Tom

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Cesar: Yes I did. Well deserved.
Tom: NO I DID NOT, HOWEVER THE AGENT SMITH THE PRIEST THAT CAME IN TO SEE ME AND BROUGHT ME READING CLASSES TOLD ME TO REMEMBER ROMANS 8:58 WE WILL WIN TO ME GOOD BEHAVIOR IN THERE IS BEING OF A POSITIVE MIND AND ACCEPTING THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF YOUR ACTIONS. I DID NOT SHOW UP FOR MY COURT DATE THERE FORE I WAS GUILTY. VERY SIMPLE

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Cesar: 50 percent at the time I was in. Not sure if that is still the case.
Tom: I THINK BUT AM NOT CERTAIN THAT TIME OFF FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR IS THAT YOU GET 2 FOR 1 AS FAR AS YOUR TIME GOES. IN MY MIND THE SPOKANE COUNTY JAIL WOULD NOT BE MUCH DIFFERENT THAN DOING TIME AT A MAJOR PENNITENTORY. SOME SAY IT IS EASIER TO DO THERE THAN IN THE SPOKANE COUNTY JAIL.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off?
Cesar: Stay out of trouble. There are many actions, don't do drugs, or try smuggling them in, no fighting with staff or others. Cause no trouble
Tom: AVOID FIGHTING, NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, ACTIONS, DEEDS
